If you own, manage or operate a business, you need to comply with fire safety law. The main law is the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 or the Fire Safety Order. It applies across England and Wales and came into force on 1 October 2006.
For businesses employing five or more employees, there is a legal requirement to highlight the risks and document a plan. Under the Regulatory Reform Order (RRO), business owners or managers are classed as the 'responsible person' of a building and they must carry out and regularly review their plans in fire emergency situations.
Who does it apply to?
The RRO applies to almost all buildings, places and structures other than individual private homes – that's individual flats in a block or family homes. Other places covered by the Order include shared areas in houses in multiple occupation, blocks of flats and maisonettes.
How can we help?
Hendeca can support some of your obligations by providing the very best Fire Safety Training - helping to keep your staff and property safe.
Each company, under the RRO, must train a member of staff to become a certified Fire Warden/Marshal, who are responsible for identifying fire hazards in the workplace to minimise risk, as well as ensuring that emergency procedures, like evacuations and drills, are appropriately conducted.

"The instructor maintained a confident but friendly disposition throughout the session. I felt reassured throughout that I was learning the course correctly and that I can approach first aid situations with confidence."

"Hendeca Group was efficient, courteous and helpful. They gave clear instructions into the requirements that our team needed for our training. The training was professional, informative and helpful."

"The trainer was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, good at interacting with attendees. He was inclusive and had a sense of humour. He was professional and very helpful in making the course interesting. All extremely positive.”

"Usually full day training feels long and boring, but not today due to the delivery style and trainers personality."

"The trainer was very understanding of my physical abilities and adapted the training to fit my needs. I’ve never been so engrossed and enthusiastic as I was in his class. As a shy lady with a stammer he put me right at ease, which made it all the more easier for me to ask questions and interact. He also delivered the training very well adding in anecdotes and keeping our attention all the time."

"The trainer was amazing! Best first aid training course I’ve been on."
